Just been on the Victorian Superkart Club's website;
I didn't know that the 2012 Victorian Superkart State Title (CAMS) is also held at the same event in separate races for Gearbox karts.
Awesome, 100% I'll be down for that event as I was upset I missed the cheap entry with all you can eat and drivers lounge last year.... it was a NGB only event and I didn't have a NGB kart.
Well done for 2012 so everyone can turn up, race their class and watch the separate superkart race.
Who else will be going, would like to try and arrange every Stock Honda out for it.

Separate races will be held for the Gearbox and non gearbox karts and all will be housed alongside one another in the pit garage complex giving the site a real village feel. Live timing will once again be available and this years "drivers lounge" will be twice the size. (A great place to relax between races)

More details will be released soon.

Re: 2012 - 125ccNGB CAMS Australian Nationals
I would be up for that with a two day event at the island but I won't be able to get the time off work at that time of year. What with going to the Singapore GP and all ;D

Too bad Jase mate, have fun at the remote controlled race in stinky sweaty Singapore.
I'm planning on sitting in the Phillip Island "drivers lounge" eating Cookie's Hot Dogs and chewing the fat with others over polished Dellortos, rotary valves, programable ignitions, superkart dynos etc while Tracey lubes the chain, check the tyre pressures and tips the fuel in my tank between races. :D
Re: 2012 - 125ccNGB CAMS Australian Nationals
The menu is FAR more extensive than that at this event.
May even play a few of the Kings tunes for you in the lounge.
I've been told I'm pretty good on the organ... ;)

Re: 2012 - 125ccNGB CAMS Australian Nationals
Don't know that I'll have enough time to learn that on my organ Sammy, but you hum a few bars and I'll catch on. :D
A reminder of what it was like last year:

Do you ever remember a orange Cortina with WOG007 number plates crusing round Sydney 20 years ago?
Here is a sneak peak before it makes a comeback, street rego and all. Looks a little bit like your BRM Stock Honda colour scheme with that orange and black. ;D

Re: 2012 - 125ccNGB CAMS Australian Nationals
I have just been advised by International Karting Distributors, the importer of MAXXIS HG3 tyres that the HG3 is no longer being made by Maxxis.
IKD only have a limited supply of HG3 REARS remaining ....and no fronts at all !
I suggest we all start seeking alternative rubber for the Nationals.
Cheers

Both light and Heavy Lap Records were set on Dunlop SL6 Tyres - whats not to like :)
With the support ALM Sales give Superkarts, why wouldn't you run their tyre?
