The forum seems a little quiet at the moment so I thought I would ask this question,
Is Rotax MAX really a crossover class from Sprint to Superkarting?
I would like to know if this is actually categorically true due to hearing it a lot and despite constant efforts changeover seems to me to be minimal. Has anyone ever done any market research on this?
For me at least, if I was going to change over from sprint, I would want to go to something with gears at least.
That is my personal preference and I understand that that doesn't mean that I am right but I can only look at my own experiance as is what I did. Now I'm sure these words will spark into somewhat a defensive forest fire but I need to know what people out there think.
I am just concerned that perhaps we are trying to preach to the converted. I think the future or superkarting does not lie in the hands of sprint karters "crossing over" to max.
I do however think that perhaps bike riders and the public could be a more viable option to convert and bringing them into a cheap gearbox class with very close racing and lots of restrictions would be a great incentive to do so. Perhaps combining meetings with bikes.
