Hi anyone know how many hours to Oran park from Adelaide by road, also I can't find forms for meeting 30/31st may 2009 on NSW site which is coming up. Does anyone know event schedule for sat/sunday event, cheers Doc
The entry forms have only recently been released for Oran Park. The NSW clubsite is not working at present for uploading. A new site is currently being built but entry forms will be available from my site tomorrow night www.horswellracingteam.com Any questions, please contact me. Numbers, emails, are listed on the NSW website.
It's a 2 day event, practice I'm sure is available on the Friday, it's the full G/P circuit and I think the 2nd last time we'll get to run there.entry cost is $350.00. Oran Park is near Campbelltown if it helps. Also your option to pay $30.00 for interstate membership to be eligable to score points in the NSW club championship. This small fee was introduced to assist with costs to keep the club financially positive as there's not alot we can make money from. With no membership, it's a glorified practice day.
anything at all we can assist you with, don't hesitate to ask.
Darren, Stop for fuel at Mildura, Hay, Wagga, Camden with no stuffing around and it will take you 13.5 hours from Gawler to Camden (Oran Pk) without to much trouble.....I suggest not to tow the horse float for the trip and have an esky packed with sugar and caffine drinks. :o
I'll be there if you need anymore helicoils ;)
PS. make sure you obey the 50kph zone in Gol Gol and when the 24x7 HWP in Gol Gol pulls you over for doing 40kph, he will give you a bad breath test, then ask you why your wearing out his road, then he will tell you your driving too far in one stint even when you tell him your taking a nap in Hay, then comes the questions if your a pot smoker or transporting marajana from Adelaide, just reply back to him that his been watching too much Underbelly. :D :D Same thing happen to me twice in 2 trips by the same cop.....it would have been 3 times if he wasn't serving another customer on the way into Adelaide.
Thankyou all for info, I am not sure if I can make it but I am trying hard, I really want to run the Nationals & I would like an interstate go. Sam, the float will have a rest if I manage this, we were talking today at work & we figured my xr6 is good for about 300 km with float on!, still its been a valued help as we have done many km over the years with my f500, tucked safely away inside, cheers Doc
Darren take 40 litres with you and you will be laughing if you are having trouble getting it go to the og speed shop. Also can you give me an email address for you so the guys you race with can get it touch and we can keep all the gearbox guys in the loop with things. :)
Thanks veryone for input, Mike my email is doc@mypolonga.com.au, Jason thanks, my son is coming with me but some extra help would be great, Sam thanks, at this point I will bring fuel, but will let you know if changes, cheers everyone, Doc
Hi everyone, had a great weekend at Oran park (what a great track it would have been in its heyday!) thanks to all the webmaster club of NSW guys (and interstaters's) for making us feel so welcome, we finally got our signature covered and could have a bit of a go in the final race. It was fantastic to watch the Max's boys battle in the final for top spot in front of us, after the race I was pumped all the way to Wagga Wagga! I had a great time battling with Matthew, really made the trip worth while! We made it home with a few hours to spare before heading off to work, thankyou all cheers Doc sa#10
Hi Jason, take care on way over, plenty of roo's but more road works, they have gone beserk with signs & barriers! I think they are breeding them! I am pumped for the Nationals, license all sorted, good to go! see everyone on Sat cheers Doc
Thanks Wayne for all your effort, I thought Oran park was great and it was very enjoyable to feel so welcomed, my son Joel thought it was awesome even if he didnt say much,he just wants to get into my Kart and show me how to do it! very cool cheers doc
