Hi Guys,
The SKA early entry close this week and I would like to encourage any National driver who is thinking about the Championship by asking the National Drivers who have already entered to post their names here to also encourage these drivers to sign up and let’s all have a great 2015 National class Championship. :)
Hopefully, we can make the photo below a reality in the this year's Championship :)

Ashley has told me that Dan and Tim will be entering too so that is 7. How about NSW where you have:
Pelly
Aaron
Dalton
Jack
Frank
??
And there is a few more in VIC who have new or improved Nationals this year who might be enticed to enter???
There is no doubt that when the show looks good others want to be in it too; so let's make this a turning point for the National class this year :o

It is shaping up to be one of the best National class Championship for a while so please help to make it a reality by being part of it.
In the end, we all benefit from a strong showing and help to promote one of the best value classes in Superkarting :)

That is great news for the National class - already we have 10 entries and plenty of room for more :D
This could be the biggest class there this year with a few more :P
Come on Owen, start cleaning the kart for Dalton, it is going to be a lot of fun; maybe you can push Jack to jump in too :D

Re: National Class entries for 2015 Superkart Championship
Having just completed my first season of racing, I will have to get a Cams licence and fill out the forms and submit them tomorrow.
Correct me if i'm wrong but is there anything else I would need
1: CAMS licence (Apply and pay fee) Do I need a medical to get a CAMS licence? Can I race on CAMS provisional licence?
2: Join SKA and pay fee for race number
3: Fill out race entrance form and pay fee for both races
4: I'm assuming I will have to find the document that specify s what is required on the Kart to pass scrutineering.
Is there anything else I'm missing apart from sponsorship to pay for it all LOL...?
Cheers

1: CAMS licence (Apply and pay fee) Do I need a medical to get a CAMS licence?(Yes) Can I race on CAMS provisional licence? (Yes, but you will need to provide competition history when applying and it's up to the SKA whether you're allowed to race on a provisional licence based on your past history i.e you won't be a road block or hazard)
2: Join SKA and pay fee for race number (yes)
3: Fill out race entrance form and pay fee for both races (yes, although you can just enter one if you want)
4: I'm assuming I will have to find the document that specify s what is required on the Kart to pass scrutineering. (Yes look up the CAMS Technical Regulations, your kart should be 95% right already)

Looks like a good amount of entries considering I was laughed at a couple of weeks ago for suggesting we would see at least ten. Still the Champ, McKay, Giglio, Mayberly and Pelli's second kart as possibilities too.
Re: National Class entries for 2015 Superkart Championship
That is great to hear and hopefully some of us can give Dalton a run for your money :D
Hi Scott,
This is shaping up to be the best year in a long time for the Nationals - let's hope everyone has done their maintainence and has a reliable setup for the Title run :)
Looks like you are keeping that motor on Jord's Kart a secret .. are you waiting on Stage 11 ???

Allan.

Ah, those must have been the secrets that Ashley talked about ... doesn't everyone know that the gold on the $25 trophy is not real :D

Re: National Class entries for 2015 Superkart Championship
Re: National Class entries for 2015 Superkart Championship
Re: National Class entries for 2015 Superkart Championship
That is a great idea :)
We should have a visual indicator for the public to identify the top three position in our class when we are racing in a multi-class race. It makes it easier for the spectators to pick out our class and see the difference between the classes. As the 250 National class karts look similar to the Division 1 class karts, and we cannot run the representative Championship race numbers, then a number plated with a bright identifier would be a WIN-WIN for everybody. :)
Anything that educates the public and makes them more knowledgeable about our Class/Sport will only help them to take the next step and come to talk to us about getting involved.
Maybe Scott, you could design something that fit this idea ???
While we are talking about this; what about a reasonable size Web-Link sticker for the Karts that run in the Championship and points to a Superkart contact page. Seeing as we are getting Internet-TV coverage, we might as well use the resource ???

Allan.

Re: National Class entries for 2015 Superkart Championship
Re: National Class entries for 2015 Superkart Championship
That looks great and if they use those colours, it will not clash with any other class colours but will be highly visible on the track :)
Now, how do we instigate something like this ???
Re: National Class entries for 2015 Superkart Championship
Why not on all numbers so that the spectators can't miss it ???
Maybe, the National class has lost some of it's impact because the spectators cannot tell the difference between our class, and as we run with the Division 1 class, we just look like a slow twin to them. :-\
Also, I am wonder if a bigger gap between the Division 1 karts at the start would help to separate them further and make it easier for the public to see a clear class distinction in the race.
As the leaders of the Division 1 kart already lap the 125cc class, it would not be any different if they pick up a couple of Nationals too. :)
These are simple changes that could have a big effect on the spectators understanding the National class better. :D
Re: National Class entries for 2015 Superkart Championship
Re: National Class entries for 2015 Superkart Championship
I was only talking about the National 1 plate holder :)
If we can encourage a few more drivers to bring them out of the garage or lease one, it will be the biggest class at the Championships :o - and about time; this is a fantastic class and great value for money in anyone's terms. ;)
BTW - I am wanting a RH Anderson Gear column if you know of anyone who has one - can buy or swap a LH Gear column for it.
Regards
Allan.

Sounds like I have to do the same or make one - thanks :)
Re: National Class entries for 2015 Superkart Championship
Re: National Class entries for 2015 Superkart Championship
This is the best National class representation for many years and it can only get better with late entries still to come.
:)
Hopefully, we can steal the show with the most entries per class ;D
So, what will the National class look like this year ??? Just take a look at the second photo which has 14 karts in it.
Come on late entries; make it happen :D

How did the Winton test go with Stage 11 cylinders :o
Was it a move in the right direction ???

Re: National Class entries for 2015 Superkart Championship
Good to hear that you are enjoying yourself with the development - hope you have some surprises for us at the Creek - it is good fun when the Nationals raise a few eyebrows and gives the rest of us something to chase :D
If you need a driver for the 11th at PI let me know ;D
My kart is not ready yet but should be for the Creek. I think my shed must be connected to a worm hole because every time I go in there and worked for a short time, when I come out the rest of the world has moved to a future Time Space moment. ;D :D
Re: National Class entries for 2015 Superkart Championship
Do you know of any nationals going to the island next week.

Good to hear that Dale scared you enough last year to go to Stage 2 ;D :D :D
Looking forward to running with the National Boys this year :D
Re: National Class entries for 2015 Superkart Championship
Re: National Class entries for 2015 Superkart Championship
The stages are different developments or modifications people try in a effort to gain more performance.
I am joking with Scott W about Stage 11. ;D
While Owen is on Stage 1 of what he brought from Brian as he said, it is definitely not Brian's first try (Stage) at the National Class motor. There have been many developments over the years and if you buy him a drink, he might just tell you some of the fun things like the twin TMX carburetors on a KX250 .... :o
That is why you pay for a proven product from a proven performer to save you all the headaches. Of course, some of us like that kind of thing and just want to do it for ourselves.

Hi Scott D,

I believe Dalton's CR250 is Brian's first attempt at a CR250, therefore Stage 1, I should know because I was the first owner and driver of that kart ;)
As for best HP figures/development, you guys are totally lost on how to get the best out of your equipment. Not only do you listen to all the bullshit and believe it too, believe shit like Stocky's karts are 90's copy of Anderson, get a grip people, Brian has been developing chassis tube types, diameter, material, thickness, axles, axles, axles coming out of his arse, different upright angles and different chassis setup. If you think Dalton has anything within an eye shot of 70HP then I feel sorry for you. I personally know what a GAS GAS can put out reliably, I've repaired JR Osbourne's motor more than twice at separate meetings and considering what Dalton was up against last year, he did me, his family and Brian very proud.
Proof is in the Stock Honda class for the last 4 years, why does a 35-36HP engine beat most 125GP open motors reporting upwards of 45HP? Hang on, same weight, little bodywork, 90's design nose cone....blah blah blah blah hahahahahaha
Time to get your hands of your jewels and go do something productive in your gains, work on the bigger picture because you have been schooled by a 20 year old the last 2 years who was racing donkey Rotax Max class before that........this advise comes for free. ;)
Don't forget what Tamasi did to the Australian field in the 2 years he raced 125, never raced Superkarts before.......ohhhh he raced a 90's Anderson copy Stockman built chassis....there we go again.......hahahaha
Re: National Class entries for 2015 Superkart Championship
I'm expecting stage 124 to be a game changer.
Re: National Class entries for 2015 Superkart Championship
Re: National Class entries for 2015 Superkart Championship
Do you guys have a sense of humour? Can’t you just have a laugh without making a personal attack on the world ???
All of what has been said, is just bench racing before the event and adds a little fun to our sport. :)
Regards
Allan.
Re: National Class entries for 2015 Superkart Championship
I don't really think anyone would take that post seriously would they?
Can't really see how I've made a personal attack mate, unless you are reading to much into it.
