VICtorious, being a member of OUR club.
Otherwise no one was hurt physically.
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
You only need to feel sorry for Reedy as I’ve seen the video footage of the crash and wouldn't have hesitated to pass it onto the stewards as it appears to be reckless with intent.
It has effectively stuffed Reedy in no fault of his own for the 2009 Australian Championship after all his efforts this year in preparation.
The "knob head" will just follow the instructions on his website in making himself a new nose cone.
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
FROM THE IMAGES I HAVE SEEN !!!!! Looks to me as if its just an unlucky racing incident.
looks like reedy pinched the anchors a bit hard skidded in front of pelli and pelli looks like he had nowhere to go.
I personally dont think the previous post was nessesary (NOT OF OF USE CAN BE KNOWN AS FIG JAM)
I think people should not judge a book by its cover but look at the photos and not make instant decisions
Go to www.speedshots.com.au and make your own decisions
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
YES the instigator then couldn't avoid hitting the spining kart of Reedy at the later point in the sequence of photos. What goes round....comes round :D
But please.....go ahead and beleive the dribble from the instigator, the video doesn't mince words and anyone experienced will tell you that you can't just hit/lock the brakes so that it points the kart 90degs sideways at those speeds in a matter of centimeters....not even if you had a flat tyre.....it takes an external force for that.
If you think I'd have my say on this topic without being 100% sure of my comments, then you don't know me too well.
It would have been nice if the instigator would just accepted to Reedy that he at least stuffed up or made an error of judgement......whatever.
Too bad.......the nationals is all about consistency and finishing.
Next........ ::)
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
I just think negativity is not needed on forums thats the whole reason left the last association i got sick and tired of the sledging, argueing, and sh!t stiring. The webmaster CLUB OF NSW is the complete opposite (well done to the club members for making racing enjoyable again). I think more supportnig comments on the forum would be be a much better read but in saying that we live in a free country and everyones open to freedom of speech.................
See you all when your going past me ( ill make sure to wave)
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
Isn't that why we have forums?
To give points of view be the for or against.
If you want to get down and dirty do it in the members section.
But some would say, you can't have another point of view
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
Kept that quiet.

Hi Guy's
Finally worked my way onto the forum.
As a competitor at WP last weekend under the banner of NKA running a RS125 webmaster, I must report i had a great day & the racing was dam close (just the way i like it). The group i raced with were great given we had never met......I must disclose prior to racing I had imagined some weekend warrior type behavior but it was nowhere to be seen all day. The Shifter Karts performed well on a track that in webmaster terms is not big.
I had heard plenty about NKA from plenty of quarters, having now experienced the NKA platform as a webmasterer I can happily report there is plenty of scope for webmasters within that environment & i take my hat off to the organizers/promoters of the series.
I can see great things for 2010 between NKA & webmastering (in NSW) should the possibilities emerge & I'm confident they will. It goes without saying that meetings will need to be properly organized throughout the year amongst both groups when the long circuits become available for NKA to ensure the best results.
I have every reason to believe NKA will look at spreading it's wings as it becomes more proficient at running meetings thus attracting more entrants.
I can ensure I will spread the gospel of NKA where possible for webmastering. I will happily make myself available to NKA to assist where possible for a smooth merging of webmasters within their group if the interest is there.
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
WELL GEE, I WOUNDER WHO "SEEDY" IS ::)
Well it is not me incase some may be thinking.
I guess, and ONLY GUESS, possibly an educated guess with pieces of puzzles thrown at me, I guess that Mr Seedy is one who has been banned from this forum once before.
he normally.....types......like........this and its very....hard to.......read.......
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
I drove down Phillip Island, blew up twice in 2 hours on Saturday, fixed the kart each time, now running richer than Bill Gates, drove back all night to Canberra, 2 hours sleep, drove to Wakefield, pulled the kart out of the van with chrome missing off both barrels and Phillip Island gearing on Sunday morning, still running richer than Bill Gates and did these times in low 59's.
http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results.cgi?30/11/2008.WAKE
So with the chassis, engine, gearing and driver feeling right, low 58's is the realistic time, even high 57's which I think Warren McIlveen did around about 2002.
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
Just cause they are cheaper and not made in Japan, they shouldn't be outlawed.....last time I looked they won the 250 webmaster race in the USA.
Maybe I'll try to get them CAMS approved via the SWG.......might be whistling Dixie for a long time though. :D
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
I think your wrong, the person you are refering to is quite supportive of webmasters under NKA.
It was his ground work from over a yea ago that the opportunity for NSW Club and webmasters in general are able run under NKA out of a few circuits in Victoria and NSW in the first place.
I think YOU need to get your facts right. As I can assure you there is alot more to come.
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
Well until you've met him, run with him and see what he's put back in with us at Broadford etc, you only know half of it, if that.
NKA is a break away organisation. Call it assisting current bodies of AKA, CAMS etc or whatever you want, it's still a "break away" organisation fed up with politics of karting in general.
Mark.
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
sorry, yes it is an awesome track in 125GearBox. We've only run long track at this stage but have the option of short track once better organised. There is also talk of reverse direction (long track only) under NKA only events.
since NKA regs allow upto 175cc per cylinder 2 or 4 stroke, max 2 cylinders, 250 twins could possibly look at running there also, this gives us strange situation where 250 national may not be able to compete. ???
But until a 250 national show interest we can't accomodate for those who don't show up. That's not to say something couldn't be worked out for 250 national or I.C.E karters.
Mark

The link below seems to backup what Mr Seedy has said........ :-\

The NKA, Super Series, Prokart or any of its subsiduaries are not part of CAMS, AKA or Australian TAG Super Series.
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
Wouldn't logic say contact the NSW club and ask questions. :o
Sammy, will you be a ship jumper as well, running at NSW webmaster meetings :-\

Well it does make it difficult for new members to get off their "P" plates if the NSW club don't support CAMS events.
Ever given thought to that?
It took me 3 trips to South Australia in order to chase license signitures to upgrade my National License to an International License.
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
Aren't we free to race with whoever we choose?
Have we all been black banned for running with the A.A.S.A.?
More choice, variety of meetings and competitors.
So what, if it works use it.
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
I see and agree with Sam's point as a few have had to travel to get that signature.
Funny though that the "others" will accept your CAMS license but not the other way round, sigh?
I can remember a few years back when all the AASA hoo har went on and now three out of four clubs regularly do it.
No offence S.A.
It has help all our clubs grow and maybe the new kid on the block will help too.
But jump ship from CAMS? I don't think any of our clubs would do that.
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
You are completely right, see for yourself, that's the only way.
If it can help your club or your own enjoyment of the sport great.
Many of us will be looking for the reports on how it all works.
Pioneer stuff.
Jase,
Wot? no lift this or push that?
Woo Hoo
;D
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
A few of us went to there 1st event there around 2 months ago just to look. There were fine tuning issues. This time 6 of us participated with the intention of just enjoying a day on the track without the hassles of keeping the show on the road........relaxing i must say, and also to see how the day ran again. Some suggestions were made by the webmaster guys on improvements (not to try to run there meeting, but only as webmasterers do long track constantly). They welcomed advice with open arms, acted on it and there shifter guys jumped for joy. Thruth be told, there meeting was fantastic.
I think most webmasterers just want to race, they don't care who its under. This could very well be a great extra option to ADD onto CAMS and AASA.
We also took enquiry on the day by others who's eyes were opened up to long circuit racing, when the open performance class was called to the marshalling area there would be a few people looking, asking questions, was even difficult to get into position at some stages as people just wanted to look.
Cheers
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
It will be interesting to watch the development head South.
And your right:

Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
your comment "and i seriously doubt that people who get band from place's, be it clubs, associations or groups have anything good to put back into anything they are involve in. why woud they be band in the first place ;)they must just be trouble to start with"
Is no different. FACTS DUDE.FACTS.
Sam, Rolf,
P plates etc. Under NKA, they recognise your achievements and participation under rival organisations. If you have no accreditation for the class you wish to enter, a simple OLT on the day is enough. Flag marshalls are employees, no need to do flag wave either.
as for "pioneer stuff" , considering certain Victorian and NSW members have opposed Mal Crosher's attempts everyway he turned from day 1, it is yes. Since I've read a fair bit on this forum, I honestly don't know why he even bothered for some of you guys. And I also can see why he never even bothered involving the NSW or Victorian clubs, things never would have got off the ground if he did. You ask him it's all about "the circuits and the competitor". Simple.
One thing missing from this debate also is cost. Around $80-$100 all up under NKA per event. cheaper if your a member of NKA. For that ammount the clubs are mad not to consider aligning themselves with NKA.
Heading South you ask, I've seen proposal regs for NKA 125GB multi round series in 2010. And it's all good. :o

Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
What contact and wonderful work has Mal attempted with the NSW club in the last few years. zzzz. If your talking before that, build a bridge and get over it.
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
Perfectly said and thank you....now maybe some decent talk can take place without that fruitcake butting in. ;D

Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
Wayne,
I can see how you hate the guy so much it must hurt to turn around and run something he got up with NKA. I can also see how being NSW club secretary you need to look "switched on" when it's clearly not the case.
Jason,
Well yea NKA is a good thing, all I said was it has nothing to do with the clubs and never did. No I never said they need to ask Mal. Credit needs to be given where credit is due. You think webmastering was even on Prokarts/NKA radar? do you think NSWSKC had Prokart/NKA on their radar? NO, it took someone to take it to them and it was not anyone from the NSW or Victorian club that did. They have simply showed up once it already organised. There is nothing wrong with that, the more the merrier.
As for hiding behind "seedy" it's what everyone calls me, I've signed off with Mark, what more you want?

Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
Is that what you guys are pissed about????
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala

YOU DO NOT NEED BE A MEMBNER OF NSWSKC OR ANY webmaster CLUB TO RUN A webmaster UNDER NKA.

Well I don't know where this comment comes from but its right up my alley and works for me. ;D
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
Ever thought of having a run with the Vic Club.
Got one coming up later in the year at Calder.
Have a try drive $60, good for the year?
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
Your a fickle lot. Good luck with your sport, you guys need it. And relax you guys won't here from me again on here regarding this matter.
Rolf,
sounds good, what date? see how many I can muster. Do we have to run fairings etc?
Sam,
yep, now you can see why they were never included from the start hey. ;)
Register with NKA as I said, more the merrier.
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
Your not a NSW webmaster member, I'm gathering your not a Victorian webmaster member, why are you so interested in this NKA/webmaster meeting.
Even more interesting, you say that NSW webmasters never had prokart/nka on there radar......someone had to bring it to us. DING DING.. isn't that communication, isn't that how all things start.
I'd love to know who brought the idea to NSW webmasters, was it a phone call, did some strange person knock on the door, or did out of a deep sleep we just woke up there last Saturday.
Please help me out here, as you say I'm trying to look "switched on"....you know being the NSW club secretary and all. I'm obviously finding it so difficult because I didn't even know I was the club secretary ;D

Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
These are not come and race.
There is no requirement for fairing's or other webmaster additions.
ALL karts are inspected for safety prior to release onto the track.
There is no requirement to be a member of any webmaster club.
Dates are available from the VSKC website www.webmastersvictoria.com.
Additionally you may enter the P.I.A.R.C. sprint days at Phillip Island to really get the adrenalin flowing.
Entry forms for these days are available from the P.I.A.R.C. website.
You do not need a full CAMS licence to run at sprint days, just a level 2 for about $80.00 per year.
Other webmaster clubs around the country do similar.

thanks, we'd love to come have a run down Calder park, but if you have members like Chris Parkes checking electrol rolls to find out details of future members or anyone who holds an opinion. No, me and my mates will not be involving ourselves with your club anytime soon. Sorry, you seem like a decent man, good luck with your sport and attracting new members being surrounded by individuals like Chris.
Please feel free to contact me privately if you wish to discuss the matter further.

Oh man I'm trying to keep it together in front of all these sophisticated Qantas club members here in Brisbane airport, but i just can't do it!!! hahahahaha
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
Chris Parks is not a member of the VSKC.
We're not in the business of begging mate, like all of us we have choices.
You want to have a run with us fine, you don't? fine.
The NSW guy's rightfully defended their club as I will mine.
Re: I here good news for the nsw club at mallala
If your not a begger why ask me to come for a come and try in the first place if I am such a trouble maker? How about I dig up whatever I can about you and your family members and threaten post it on here?not that I would.Your allowed to post degratory remarks about the hyperpro and the guys who made it regardless of it being a webmaster or not but I can't post about a club?talk about double standards.
