Some run the heavier floats on the tracks with the long full throttle sections (Phillip Island & Eastern Creek) because they believe that with the bowl getting close to empty that the fuel gets aerated and the light floats restrict the flow by not being able to allow the needle and seat fully open because they are lighter and float on the aerated fuel.
Others have the opposite theory. Who knows?
In the Rotax sprint rules they have a directive that is tied in with what the internals of the carby are.

To the Ex Cook....thanks for you help on the weekend To IWT I will try that carbie setup, great place to start from, My carbie internals were different 98 needle 5.6gr floats 60/30
One more thing were should I set the needle height on 98 needle, one to five clip
