Jim entered it in "Run what you Brung" class. Jim owns a large motorcycle store for over 30 years and this engine is WORKED and on some very nice smelling potent fuel.(he is also a VP Fuels dealer) Anyway, I shared the track with him on a practice session in my 125GB kart. Well.....I've never could never imagine a kart accelerate so fast in my life. It was buzz watching it...I just can't explain it in real terms......but guess what....I was doing faster lap times in the 125GB. He kept cooking his brakes and the thing didn't go around corners real good, otherwise it was a true weapon.
Typical Yanks....always worried about mega HP but forget they have turns to negotiate. I suppose they don't turn too much in NASCAR, so I understand them forgetting about that feature.
As for the kart, it was very well engineered, based on a scretched 250 twin chassis with kelgates....just too much weight and speed to slow it down for the brake pads to handle it.
Now that looks interesting. Why oh why do people make things like this and include known problems like fixed KP brackets ala a sprint kart when the opportunity is there to do something really trick and more flexible.
Found video on 6 wheel kart, it was actually a dedication to the P34 Tyrell F1 car.
