Look all I said was, Its a lovelly day for a bike ride Vicar.
I didn't expect this. ;)
Think about this for just one moment.
Do what Natt 22 said and write it into the Supp regs and probably 75% of the field will need to go and buy tyres.
Run with the rules that YOU guy's worked on, submitted and got passed and 25% of you "might" need to buy tyres IF YOU FEEL THAT WINNING THE EVENT comes down to only tyres.
Here's 2 cents from a mid pack runner... Ran what was effectively 2 meets at Mallala on Yellows. Never run them before, absolutely loved them. Running on the same set again at Calder, they're still only half worn. The 35 lap final will be the ultimate durability test for those old boots! Regardless I have a new set of MG's and a good second hand set of Dunlops for Wakefield so whatever you lot work out i'm sure we can all play nice Might even run Dunlops on the left hand side and MG's on the right! ::)
There is a way around this problem, the tyres have already been to tender and tyre testing, it was done by a delegated body of CAMS and the SL6 came out on top. So the question has to be asked will CAMS allow this as complying with the tender process and then adopt the SL6 as the tyre for the Stock Honda and NGB class. I have a theory as to why the Vic SH drivers decided to run MG yellow tyres at Mallala and it has nothing to do with how good the tyre are and more to do with how long the person that prepares most of the Stock Honda's in Vic gets to pay for his tyres. 30 days for MG's and 7 for Dunlop.
Yeah *censored* it. Its to hard. Im bringing the softest shit I can find.
Here you go Jase, MG Yellows are $63.75 per tyre front or rear. http://www.karts.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=144&products_id=6356 http://www.karts.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=144&products_id=6355 So 3x front and 3x rear = $382 RRP I will sell you 3x front and 3x rear in plastic wrappers for $315.00 one time deal, its now or never below what I paid. This offer is open to whoever coughs up first before next Friday 18th October. Free delivery to Wakefield Park for any interstate driver.
well, we will be running Dunlops, ....see you all there, :)
Hi Owen, Good to hear that Dalton will be contesting the Stock Honda class at Wakefield - always good to have the best to chase :) :) Hopefully, this will encourage other NSW Stock Honda drivers to dust off the kart and be there for the last race of the season - should be a good one ;D
Sam, will you have some SL6's for sale too?
I can have tyres at Wakefield Park if per-arranged with me to ensure they are brought to the track. Set of Dunlop SL6 tyres at Wakefield Pk for $220 per set (RRP is $239) Only 3 sets left. Set of MG Yellow for $240 (RRP is $255) or 3x front and 3x rear for just $315 one time only. Also have good price on Dunlop and MG 5" wets, call me if interested for special deal.
