Stock Honda Challenge

To all Stock Honda drivers in Qld, NSW and Vic:

If we were to arrange an event at Mallala early next year, how many of you would be interested in coming over? Below is what will likely be on the cards:

- Free round trip transport to the track and back for your kart and all race gear.
- Discounted entry fee.
- Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, fastest laps etc.

If I could get a show of hands as to how many are keen we can start making some solid plans with everyone involved.

If this goes ahead, we have already sorted a deal for AVGAS and Castrol A747 to be supplied at the track to make the trip easier.

Sounds good, but I'm with Warren, not too early in the year. Also I'll have to check with team boss...PIL thoughts?

Cheers for the feedback, spread the word with the other guys. Hopefully we can make something good of it! At least two of us will come and do an interstate event or two in Vic and/or NSW next year too.

Hi all,

A quick update.

The ASC & VSKC race calendars have now been released and we have conflicts in both April and May. The next meeting where there are no conflicts in June 2nd & 3rd

In addition to what has has already been proposed, we are also looking at the feasibility of a Marquee so that we can all pit under one roof. Some prizes have already been confirmed and we are looking at getting more arranged.

At this stage we have 10 Stock Honda drivers interested and a few other drivers interested in joining the fun for a once off....so if you know of anyone interested in leasing their kart or leasing a kart please let us know.

The September meeting might still be the go as I've had zero interest from Qld so far. Most of the guys in NSW have indicated that they'd like something later in the year.

While it might be a bit much for the NSW guys, if the September meeting goes well then I'm sure a few Vic guys would be keen to come over and contest the GP in Nivember too!

Hi all,
would be great to have something late in the year, year 12 commitments for me make it hard to race between late august to late October. November seems to be a great time of year for it, few races for all calender's at that time of year.

Just an idea to be discussed.

Sorry to be corrected September through to end of November would be a difficult time. August would be my personal choice.

Hi all,

We are currently working out a date that would work, unfortunately there's no date that seems to work with everyone, but it's looking like later in the year and probably the Superkart GP will be the best time to try and get all the stock honda guys together.

Hi all,

At this stage I think the market is flooded with events and adding a Stock Honda Challenge is just going to dilute everything even more. We are still keen to entice Stock Honda drivers out in one way or another, we'll have a think about it and see how exactly to go about it.

Thanks for all of the interest from drivers and businesses alike to work with us on this, it has been very exciting to see everyone get behind it.
