Std bore x stroke, it fits onto the CR250 OEM motorcycle engine cases, so no problems with our rules. No need for any paperwork from the FBI/CIA. No need to get it approved from the AMRC.
Viper also gets that sort of performance from there's and has done since 2010.
2012 version Viper Honda cylinder on Viper CR250 bottom end. Std bore std stroke. Gold Grade piston, Viper 41.5 TMX carby, Viper HPI programmable 2-curve digital Ignition, Fatty pipe with across-the-back silencer.
There is 1 further mod to come on the cylinder tuning for 2013 coupled with a new exhaust that I am cofident will add 2Hp at peak with a similar curve. I'll post up when it's done, but for now:
But that curve does not show us 68+ HP like Manfred has claimed. Go back and pull some more hair out Ian...... you need 70HP or more on that graph to claim top spot. :D
Now here's a curve ball......do us customers get what Ian's got? I have heard for many years that you'll never get what Stocky's got, yet he is still my "Top Spot" HP supplier. :D

Sam, your in a different world :D :D
68+ HP means between 68 and 69Hp if it's more than that it would be 69+ Hp!! That's what I got and at bargain price and it's all Mr. Honda's finest!! Here we are talking cylinder vs cylinder. Not outright.
The Viper 250EVO is a different beast (like the GasGas 250K) and if I only get 75Hp . . . . I'll shoot myself ;)
Anyway, wait for the final mod graph on the Honda. If it dosen't break 70 on our normal British Control Fuel 100/89 Unleaded, non oxygenated . . . . you won't see it!!
In fact, I could put in Q16 or MS109 and break 70 easier than breaking wind . . . right now!
Nothng I like more than a customer beating my team guys. Much, much better for sales. Everyone buying from Viper Racing UK gets the best spec available at the time they buy.
Every engine I sell in the UK, comes with a no frills offer. If you think your engine is not fast enough, come and swap it with our fastest team members motor. No cost and we'll even help you fit it!

That's because he is in the country and they have horses to harvest for their horsepower in the country.

Dalton i beleive the CRm 250 was a street legal 2 stroke that had 6 gears, Not 100% sure about year model, was not many built or sold in Aust. Was looking to get one before i purchased the viper cr i now own.
Putting the CRM 250 up against a stock 125 Honda in a kart would be like putting a camel up against a racehorse.
However, there are some very good aspects to the design and utilisation of space to form a neat package. Pity Mr Honda didn't put one in a room with a CR250 and allow them to mate!!
As a race engine there are a few too many anomalies, like weight, the gear box ratios (ughhh!!), the clutch, the peg driven helical cut primary gear train, the crankshaft, the inlet tract, and the transfer ramps.
Add to that, it's a dead-in-the-water model, with spasmodic, very expensive parts availability.
However, not beyond the bounds of possibility as a project. You just have to be mad enough!!
Here's me in 1970 with my favourite "ride" Even had hair back then!!

Re: WIWA are in on the act too....
The DEA has a balance shaft etc included.
Looks like there will be quite a few choices for this class.

Blue curve is with CIK airbox, Red curve is with a K&N. The big difference is down low, but you shouldn't be down there anyway!
However, I do quite like a nice red cylinder!
Best Regards
Ian :)

That'd be great running with the 125 stock honda's.
