Now that it has been made apparent that most of the drivers want to stay with the current format I am interested in people that can commit as of now to run next years championship. I would expect there to be around 40 people who can put their name on here as an entrant so that others know if they have a class.
Not trying to be against SKA Brett but who exactly completed the survey to come up with that result that most want to run with SKA? Says 20x surveys from NSW and 18 from QLD. Lucky if you get 5 from NSW at each Shannon's round, even at Eastern Creek! Check each event over the years if you don't believe me.......and I'm not 1 of those 20. The results in the survey are pointless in my opinion.
BTW I can spell my name and no I didn't complete the SKA survey under any other name.......so IP addresses logged won't be mine. ;)
Brett, I won't be there. I just won't have the budget to run those events next year. I will see how things line up in 2014 for the nationals but for now will just go club racing next year. I didn't fill out the survey either, not out of spite or anything but i just didn't think i would be running next year and didn't want to muddy it for those that are.
I'm the same, I didn't do one so as not to muddy the waters as I don't race at National level. (even under an assumed name)
I was interested in comments from some NGB drivers. WT?
And for the record we DID NOT get given six grand from CAMS and the NGB Nationals was run under the required permit and not advertised as something it was not.
By the way this years NGB Nationals will be at Mallala in mid September.
Not sure who completed the survey but if you go by the results there should be good numbers next year. I am not convinced that the numbers will change from this year as nothing has changed to attract new drivers to the Nationals. If there are only 10 twins entered I will not be going hence wanting to know who these people are who have committed to the SKA. I want to go but not to race against 10 and I am sure there are others who don't want to enter if they don't have a class.
Didn't have a go at the survey as it was for the competitors benefit.
Have read through the results and should have stopped at page 11, the rest is totally irrelevant.
Total committed to running at next years championship is 24. Only the responses from those 24 would be relevant. The other 32 are all tyre kickers. Just like my opinion on the results.
I was interested to read the comments from the two Northern Club Presidents, it is comments like this that are tearing the sport apart. Note there was never a boycott of the SKA run NGB Nationals By SA and VIC drivers and no one has put up any proof of this to prove the claim. We could say that there has been a boycott of the Club run NGB Nationals by QLD and NSW but the meeting has still been a success, so lets forget all this crap about boycotts. The SKA offered the running of the NGB Nationals to the Clubs which has been done the last two years, no money was ever given to the Clubs by CAMS and the permit was correct for the type of meeting. All Advertizing was correct and no mention of it being an Australian Championship meeting was ever mentioned, the only mention was in Kartsport News done by the editor, with no consulation with the Clubs involved.
IF the "Southern" clubs were so against the current promoters wouldn't we have boycotted the gearbox events as well?
Let it go it was all about cost for the NGB guy's.
They have what they want now so let it be. The bar for major events has been raised and the gearbox drivers deserve the same.
It can be done, we've done it TWICE and we'll do it again and again and again.
Do we have any NGB guy's on here bitching?
We're NOT dellusional. We built it and they came.
And the "other thing" on kartsport news? it was the word CHAMPIONSHIP my friends. JUST THAT word. Made in error. You know what? ALL the NGB guy's that entered ARE CHAMPIONS
There's POISON in the GB Australian Championship and untill it's removed we will continue to go round in circles here. Good luck for 2013 I hope things change for you.

Re: SKA 2013 Survey Results
2012 I paid the SKA membership even though I had no intension of racing in the Nationals in 2012.
I did NOT complete the survey or had anything to do with it.
2013 my team mate Paul Gregory may race in the Nationals, if I drive too at Eastern Creek.
Whoever runs the Nationals SKA or ? my SPIDER RACE TEAM will be there with 2 Nationals.
