Re: CIKFIA European Superkart Championship - Round 3 Assen
Yes looking good for FPE.
Lijla's PVP/PVP was the class of the field in qualifying, with Gavin getting within 0.2 secs in a late run with the Anderson/DEA. However things changed a bit in the race with Lijla initially pulling a huge (in Superkart terms) gap. He then had a bad lap (not sure why?). This allowed Maasmann who began to show blistering pace to catch and pass for the lead. Bennett appeared to not quite have the pace right from the start with Lee Harpham Anderson/FPE soon passing him and setting 2nd best lap in the process. Gavin then dropped a few more places, finally retiring a lap from the end. Another to fade from the fight after a tremendous quali was Adam Kout with an MS Kart/DEA. The MS Kart/VM also showed well in the hands of Danny Bleek fresh from a good run at the British GP meeting at Snetterton.
Looked exciting stuff on the live timing.
just short of a SAFE in the mix ;) Homologation is a pain in the arse!
Yes, the ultra huge suitcase will be in use again. When I eventually get to visit Aus for a holiday rather than a "racetrack visit", I fully expect to be stopped by customs with the comment, "this is very unusual Mr Harrison, clothes in your suitcase . . . . . . makes us a bit suspicious".
See you all in a matter of days.
Best Regards
Ian :)
Re: CIKFIA European Superkart Championship - Round 3 Assen
Can you bring a few crank sensors for me too please.
Cheers !
Re: CIKFIA European Superkart Championship - Round 3 Assen
Don't worry, I will have a complete stator ready to bang on and a couple of spare crank sensors to leave with you, along with other kit that Scott and I have agreed as sensible to have!!
I'll send you a mail
Se you Thursday night.
My t-shirt and shorts haven't seen light of day yet in 2012. The English summer has so far been a bit of a washout, apart from when I came to PI, when it was glorious from the day I left until the day I got back!!
Best Regards
Ian :)

Driver's Quote:
Video is from the CIK-FIA european championship in Superkart held at Assen TT circuit 3-5th of August 2012.
I start in pole position and fuck up the start, dropping me down to 10th position. After some intense batles and a safety car periode I end up in 3rd position.
The Superkart I drive has a 250 ccm, 2 stroke, 2 cylinder, PVP engine.
Chassis is also made by PVP. The kart has aprox. 100 HP and does around 250 km/h as topspeed
